What does the Cuisine::pro® Lifetime Guarantee cover?

All products from THE CUSTOM CHEF are backed by the Cuisine::pro® LIFETIME GUARANTEE, provided by Global Retail Brands Canada Limited. To make a claim, please contact info@thecustomchef.com, and our Customer Service Team will guide you through the process.

How should I care for my knives?

Hand-wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry immediately. Avoid dishwashers and cutting on hard surfaces like stone or glass. Regular honing keeps your blade sharp—professional sharpening may be needed only once a year with proper care.

Make sure you have room on your bench for these beauties

Got these in Xmas ‘23 to replace an ancient crumbling Kmart set. The magnet block is long with enough room to keep our steak knives set on the opposite side and a couple of extra chefs knives.

We got the damashiro sharpener as well which while simple and manual seems very effective and can sharpen the other knives as well.

Now the knives themselves feel well balanced and appropriately heavy. The bolster is the full width of the blade so no danger of slipping and cutting yourself that way unless you’re being determinedly inept. And these things cut! Forget scissors, these things will slice through plastic, paper, cardboard and also food too like carrots and tomatoes and pumpkin and chicken and beef also. My husband keeps picking recipes with as much prep as possible just to use them more often which is quite a change.

I don’t know if these will rust like a cheaper set would but I think if I left them wet or lying in the sink I wouldn’t live long enough to find out.

Overall quite a step up from budget brands. If you’re a professional with more money than sense you might go for Wusthof or Zwilling but these are a great alternative for the everyday slicer and dicer, and the knife block is handy as long as you’ve got room for it!
